The Glavin Residence, a project for an exclusive development in North Carolina. Main house walls on first floor are 26 inches thick, a sandwich of 8 inch stone over 8 inch aerated autoclaved concrete block with 1 inch air gaps. Cathedral ceiling in great room features two timber frame trusses with true joinery. Rear deck overlooks a steep cliff-like drop-off with a waterfall far below. Generous master suite with large walk-in closet. English arts and crafts styling combined with rustic mountain features makes for a dramatic front elevation with a unique front entry truss and beam. This is a large drawing (for me) at 18"x24", done mostly with HB pencil entirely by hand. I only use the computer to "label" it.
