Description
This should be the final front elevation sketch for the "Group Five" buildings in "The Clove" town design (see gallery.) I have the floor plans done and I'm just finishing up details on the side elevations/cross sections. The cafe is actually at an angle to the other three, if you look at the overall layout of the ground plan submitted recently. Architectural style based loosely on Tuscany and other hill town architecture, but also has hints of northern Europe (stepped facade of number three,) and the U.S. (front porch of number one.) Balconies influenced by Spanish and Spanish-colonial (American) architecture.
Technique: drawn in scale 1/16" = one foot on white vellum over graph paper, mostly using "hard" pencils with sharp points such as 2H and 4H. Then I scan, darken a bit, clean it up, and label it. As usual, completely drawn by hand.
