Hake Residence by Built4ever Hake Residence by Built4ever
I designed this "doll house" style residence for a client in Georgia, U.S. She wanted a green roof, yellow siding, a large front porch, and a traditional symmetrical design with everything on the first floor and a full size basement. Front porch overlooks nice view. Finished a few years ago and client is very happy with it.

It's a sun room with lots of windows, so you can sit in a sunny place on colder days. This specific client wanted one.

Good question. It's called a sun room, and it typically has mostly windows around it, so you can get some sunshine in the winter, maybe read a book. Somtimes a breakfast nook functions the same way, lots of windows for morning sunshine. Client wanted that room.

On that house it's 10 feet by 16 feet, but it's continuous with the breakfast nook, so it appears as one long room...

I really love this one. The big porch, and a shop.

Porch faces east in morning, up on a hill, I've sat there and drank a coffee. Shop is for his radio control model airplanes. She wanted a symmetrical design "doll house" with yellow siding, a green roof, and all rooms on one floor.

I love this!!!
When I was a kid (teen), I wanted to be an Architect! That was my dream job! Your renderings are inspirational to me! It brings-back a lot of memories of those days!
I have a "cousin-in-law" (his name is Patrick Lenahan) that is an Architect in Kansas City and I love to hear the projects his firm is working on! His firm does commercial properties like Malls, shopping centers and the like.

Big big commercial firm at 35 employees. Looks like they're hiring! Dang, the unemployment rate for architects is extremely high. Kansas city is pretty nice, I've been there many times.

I'm going to edit this some time and straighten it out, change the titles, condense it a bit, and darken it. I'll re-post it, so this file will change...
