Pencil sketch of my House Design #308, a classic Mediterranean influenced by American 1920's era homes found in most American cities, but especially in South Florida. I drew an embellished version of it on a steeply sloping lot with a rather dramatic perspective angle, a bit challenging to draw. The chimney has some sculptural components reminiscent of American 1930's Art Deco architecture, especially government buildings and offices. Blends of Art Deco and Mediterranean architecture in home designs are extremely rare in America but there are a few, in Palm Beach Florida for example. (Which is very flat by the way.) This sketch will surely get further attention later. Quite different from my usual picturesque cottages and Tudor-influenced designs, eh?
